peace and stabilityprotect—through transnational advocacy campaigns, foreign policy, and domestic compliance with international law—peace, justice, and human rights in the Middle East
InEast by demanding that all people are treated equally without fear of discrimination based race, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, or religion. The urgency of this charge cannot be understated in light of the imminent and impending consequences of the U.S. election and Trump’s pasthistory of illegal military incursions, racism, and a flood of ultranationalist, “America first” policies thatthroughout the region, which have destabilizedprivileged American interests over human dignity, and have engendered acts or empowered already existing systems of segregation, inequality, racism, violence, oppression through military incursions in the Middle East, we will work for. We oppose the enabling of exceptionalism from international law by the USA and its allie, and demand that a balancedrule-based order apply to all equally. We call for the prosecution of all Europeans who have enabled and constructiveare complicit in war crimes and crimes against humanity. Individually and collectively, European nations will advocate and work towards an EU foreign policy that combats discrimination; ends authoritarianism and imperialism; promotes peace, justice, human rights, and international law; supports rights groups, civil society, and democratic movements,; and works to resolve conflicts through diplomacymutual respect, diplomacy, cultural exchange, resource-sharing, and humanitarian aid.
