The following table describes the status, the proposer and other metadata of this amendment.
Resolution text
Insert from line 15 to 17:
- resilience, economic development, sustainable reconstruction and the rule of law. We will ensure that any negociation is acceptable for Ukraine, in terms of condions and delays. Where Trump challenges security cooperation, we will continue to build common security, starting with organised European military
Insert from line 26 to 27:
- promotes peace, supports civil society and democratic movements, and works to resolve conflicts through diplomacy, including every useful and proportionate sanction (should it be against state or individuals). .
From line 44 to 48:
- We oppose Trump’s protectionist policies and advocate for fair, rules-based international
tradecooperation. In the face of Trump's proposals we will continue to work for a European industry that is resilient and much less dependent on authoritarian regimes. A European industrial policy for the climate-neutral transformation of the European industry is key to this. Our industrial and commercial policies should enhance and protect local production, environemental and social norms, while insuring consumers' rights and health.
Insert from line 54 to 55:
- push for global agreements that address the climate crisis equitably and prevent further environmental degradation. We will change the bugdetary rule, to allow member states, local governements and the Union to invest in this transition.
Insert after line 90:
- Against a strong and agressive American policy, we need an united and federalist Europe
As Trump will truly benefit of all the means to conduct his agressive policies, both at home and abroad, we need to prepare the European Union to defend democratic ideals and european interests. That's why we need to push for democratic progress within our institutions, we don't have the luxury to be once again blocked by the unanimity rule when we will need to negociate or sanction illeberal states. We need to confer more power to the European Parliament to assure legitimacy and coordinated policies. Federalism is now at the core of our green agenda and a too long waited strategic tool.
