Draft text

By the deadline of 23 October (23:59 CEST), the EGP office received valid
candidacies for the election of the next EGP Committee for the people listed
below in alphabetical order (on family name); election to be held at the 39th
EGP Congress in Dublin, 6-8 December.

The presentation of the candidates will take place at the Dublin Congress on
Friday 6 December in the afternoon, with opportunity for Q&A.

In the EGP Statutes you can find the full texts on Committee composition, tasks
& responsibilities in Article 6.4.

Election procedure:

  • All posts will be voted on separately, in the following order:
    • Two Co-Chairs

    • Secretary General

    • Treasurer

    • Acknowledgement FYEG nominated member

    • Eight (8) further Committee Members
  • Gender and diversity balance will have to be observed during the election.
    Geographical balance is recommended.
  • More than 50% of the votes cast:
    • If one candidate gains more than 50% of the votes cast in the 1st
      round, the person is elected.

    • Should no candidate gain more than 50% of the 1st round vote, a 2nd
      round will be run between the 2 highest scoring candidates. The
      candidate who receives more than 50% of the votes cast in the 2nd
      round is elected.
