- Stat 1. Election EGP Bodies
Draft text
The EGP Committee is organising elections for two of the EGP Bodies at the
upcoming Warsaw Congress.
Call for Candidates for:
- Two members from the EGP Member Parties to the Green European Foundation
General Assembly (GEF GA); the political foundation on the European level
which is a partner of the EGP.
- One female member to the Conciliation Panel. We need a specific profile,
see below.
1. Green European Foundation (GEF) General
Assembly (GA)
EGP Statutes art 5.4.1 “GEF is the exclusive partner of the EGP at the European
level as regards European Foundations. The GEF is responsible for the promotion
of the European-wide political debate. GEF and EGP should work closely together,
given the mutual interest in Green activities.”
GEF allocates four members from EGP to their General Assembly.
The GEF GA meets twice a year and sets the overall direction and priorities for
the foundation. GEF works to encourage European citizens to participate in
European political discussions and to ultimately forge a stronger, more
participative European democracy.
More information on the Green European Foundation can be found on www.gef.eu.
Moreover, Laurent Standaert, Political Director of GEF is available for any
questions you may have. Feel free to mail laurent.standaert@gef.eu.
- The current two Committee members for GEF GA are Marieke van Doorninck and
Rui Tavares.
- The two members from the EGP Member Parties elected by the online EGP
Council in December 2023 - with ending mandates - are Benjamin Bibas,
(France) and Emma Nohrén, MP (Sweden).
The mandate is for a period of 3 years: from autumn 2026 to autumn 2029.
2. By-election Conciliation Panel (CP)
We are calling for female candidates in order to fill one open position in the
Conciliation Panel, which is an independent body of the EGP; also, to replace
Ursula Berner, who graciously accepted to continue her previous mandate for one
year in an ad-interim capacity.
The 40th EGP Congress in Lisbon last year only received 4 candidacies, who were
all elected. Current members of the Conciliation Panel (2025-2028): LINK
